Can I operate the spreadsheet with a sentence?
Not yet. ZeninData’s planned agent will let you describe a task, review the spreadsheet changes and undo them. The agent is in development; the editor available today is the manual GridCraft web application.
Is GridCraft online free?
Yes. The spreadsheet hosted here is free to open and use. This release has no paid AI features and does not require an account.
Do you upload or store my spreadsheets?
No. The editor runs in your browser, opens files from your device and saves by downloading a file. We do not operate a spreadsheet upload service. The app may store interface preferences locally.
Is this the official GridCraft website?
No. ZeninData independently hosts an unmodified official web build. GridCraft is developed by the ArtCraft team and contributors. Find the original project at github.com/storytold/gridcraft.
Can it replace Microsoft Excel?
For some everyday workflows, it may be useful. It is still alpha software. VBA macros do not run, complex file compatibility varies, and the browser version has limitations. See our compatibility guide before using it for important work.
Does it save automatically?
Do not rely on autosave in this browser build. Save or download your workbook before closing the tab, and retain your original file.
